During my leadership roles at Microsoft, HCL, and Accenture across multiple countries, I faced a challenge - managing cross-border wealth effectively. Like millions of others, I found myself maintaining complex spreadsheets, trying to track and plan my investments across different countries.

When I sought professional help, I was disappointed to discover that most investment advisors were driven by commissions rather than my financial success. The advice I received wasn't truly aligned with my best interests.

As I spoke with fellow Indian community, I realized this wasn't just my problem. The statistics were shocking: 99% of NRIs lack access to proper financial planning due to high costs and unrealistic minimum investments. This isn't just a statistic; it's a fundamental problem that needs solving. Quality financial planning shouldn't be a luxury - it should be accessible to everyone.

My name 'Prakash' means brightness in Sanskrit, and it perfectly aligns with my purpose. Drawing from my expertise in engineering, product management, and business leadership, I founded InvestMates - a comprehensive digital wealth management platform designed specifically for the global Indian community.

Through InvestMates, we're democratizing access to sophisticated financial tools and building what I wished existed during my own cross-border journey. This isn't just a business; it's our mission to transform how global Indians manage their wealth, making professional financial guidance accessible, affordable, and truly aligned with their interests.

If Prakash is the ‘Tech’ in the InvestMates team, Harsha is the perfect co-founder to play the ‘Fin’ role. An extremely understated yet crucial role which lays the foundation for a solid product proposition with all the fundamentals in place.

A Financial Services professional with over 25 years of experience in the asset management and investment advisory space, Harsha packs a powerful punch in terms of his understanding of what ails the industry and also what the potential opportunities are keeping in mind the global framework of creating the right, compliant offering.

Corporate experience aside, Harsha has also played the role of a mentor and advisor to over 10 FinTech and WealthTech startups in the last few years giving the perfect mix of mainstream financial experience coupled with high-energy startup hustle.

Harsha spent a couple of years in Denmark, where he led the first startup summit showcasing Indian startups in the Nordics.

And he’s a great storyteller too. An avid writer, his blog, aptly titled ‘Assets & Stories’ gives the world a great perspective of the experiences that Harsha has drawn in this space over the years.
